Broken phone

Reviewed on Tuesday May 23, 2006 by , Montreal
I got the LG2000 about 5 months ago. The past 2 months of having the phone it has been broken. The caller ID hasn't worked, the screen inside turns blue when people call me, it turns off and on, on its own randomly and my camera doesnt work anymore. When it first started happening about 2 months ago, i got really mad because it was almost unusable, so i brought it into the fido center where i bought it. They exchanged my phone with another LG2000 brand new one, and told me the problems would go away. About 2 hours later the same problems started happening again. I brought it back the following day and they told me there was a problem with the LG2000 and that it was in all of thier phones. They told me the only way to get it fixed was to go to a laval fido service center and they would download something on my phone to make it better. After i got it back from Laval, it was never fixed and still had the same problems. Later that week i brought it downtown and they told me there they would do something different as a last result. The fido services downtown told me there was nothing they could do once i got there, but buy a new phone. This phone was very expensive and i was not about to buy a new one. They wouldnt exchange it for another new fido phone either, because they said they can only do that after 15 days of purchase. Now i am stuck with a broken phone which only works half the time. I thought it was only my phone at first, turns out i know about 10 people who have the same problem as i do with the same phone. Dont buy an LG2000, they are a waste of time and money. I find it stupid they are still selling this phone when they know there is a problem with them which cannot be fixed.

Good phone for casual use

Reviewed on Monday May 1, 2006 by , Canada
I have no complaints about this phone other then the fact that ringtones are extremely hard to get. This phone has a very attractive look and feel to it and connectivity is good too. Battery life is also good, lasted me 3 days and only 2 bars went away. The only bad thing i guess about this phone is that there isnt many features but if you need a phone for casual use this is definately a good one. Also I don't know what other people are talking about there being no memory but theres plenty of memory for taking pictures, i have 15 pictures and its not even 1/7 full of course this is in the lowest size which is 128 x 160 but it's still good.

Damn Ringtones

Reviewed on Tuesday January 3, 2006 by , Toronto, Ontario
when i got this phone september 2005, i was ripped off by the salesperson because he had told me that this phone was BRAND NEW, to later find out its infact a few years old. the memory on this phone is ridiculous i can only take like 10 pictures and then i have to go thru the trouble of emailing them to myself and deleting them off my phone. camera not sooo bad but lacking, the colours pretty unclear so alot of the time i cant even see what i am taking. i find the most aggrivating part of this phone is the fact the suppositly it had mp3 but everytime i go to download a song it comes out sounding like crap. i got a great plan 6 months everything free so right now i cant complain...!!...but to give others some advice do your research and dont get this phone.

thank you

only sucks a little

Overall the LG2000 is quite a good phone. It's loud, the design is pretty, it takes pretty good pictures (as long as your hand is perfectly still when you take them), and it's quite easy to use. My only beef with the phone so far is that it's been difficult to get ringtones and the ones that come with the phone suck really bad (typical "Happy Birthday" and "Wedding Song"). I bought one ringtone off of Fido.ca from my mobile connection off the phone and it cost me $2.50. So I found a website called freeringers.net and you can pay $8.00 and download all the ringtones you want, and they have a LOT. So all my problems with the phone are solved, and I like it.
