I was given this phone when my son acquired a new one. From the very beginning (Feb 2014), it would shut down intermittently, without warning. This was not a problem for me at first, because I only wanted it for texting and listening to the radio during my transit commute.
However, 5 months later, July, it shut down completely and even though I have had it plugged in to recharge for days, it still does not come on.
The Fido rep, after confirming it wouldn't turn on, told me he cannot replace the battery under a warranty. There are still 4 months remaining on the contract.
It seems neither company wants to honour their responsibility for customer satisfaction.
I will not be purchasing a phone from htc or giving Fido my business again.
