
On May 17, 2012 Solo Mobile stopped accepting new activations. Bell
will continue to run Solo Mobile for existing customers but it's
expected they will slowly encourage customers who's contract are up to
move to Bell.
Solo Mobile is a wireless brand owned and operated by
Bell Mobility. Solo Mobile was first introduced in the summer of 2005 to compete with other Canadian prepaid carriers & brands (Virgin Mobile, Fido). With the acquisition of
Virgin Mobile by Bell in early 2009 it is unknown how long
Bell will continue to operate the brand.
