Saftey Hazard

We have a few of these devices. One of them stopped working. It would turn on and work for about 20 minutes, and then stop working with either multiple reboots, or the screen going blank with the backlight on. When we moved the device to a different plug, the battery started to expand at a rapid rate within 5 minutes the battery was bloated and popping out of the case. If the battery had bloated in a way such that it would have been punctured by something, it could have been much worse. Do not purchase this product.

sierra wireless aircard 763s / TELUS

I also had an issue with sierra aircard.I bought it from telus, after 2 weeks would not turn on.I went to telus store tried to exchange after having to argue with manager they finally said they would change out but the need box it came in. luckily I had the box. Went home got box went back to telus, and because I had wrote phone # on box they would not exchange the aircard. I phoned telus to complain and they said it was store managers discretion.I ALSO WILL NOT DEAL WITH TELUS ANY MORE AFTER 20 YEARS THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT THERE CUSTOMERS

Putting my family at risk

I am extremely disappointed in both Telus and Sierra for putting a product in the hands of my family that poses a risk. The battery is swelling and overheating, and neither organization is willing to solve the problem. Neither organization is willing to replace the battery or provide a channel to find an acceptable replacement. The most OFFENSIVE response I got was from a Telus representative who said that the battery wasn't their problem, even though they sold us the gear, and that we were on our own.
today we cancelled the account that the gear is associated with. We will NOT be doing any additional business with TELUS and will be moving to one of their competitors.

I have a 763S it is only 6 months old and will not charge or work without overheating. Telus won't warrant the product and Netgear won't answer a call and their website does not work with the serial number of the product.
