The phone is a perfectly great phone with a big screen. I saw that two people gave THE PHONE a bad review beacuse the person selling it did a bad job. The sales rep at the telus booth has nothing to do with the quality of this phone and id say its about a 3 not a 1 and will be seting my score to try and offset other negative reviews.

Hardware undone by Sofware glitches

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was renowned for large screen, fast processor & a mean camera to top it up. That was certainly the case when I bought the Note 3 with the Jellybean OS.

Samsung due to some brain freeze decided to upgrade their OS to Kit Kat to address various pertinent issues with the phone. The Kit Kat OS managed to address some issues but in turn created a major glitch for the camera; Now, most of the features of the camera have been disabled.

I checked with Samsung, they say upgrading is a roll of the dice therefore, in this case relevant features for the camera have been disabled namely Zoom and the all-important Settings option. In addition, the images arenít as sharp anymore, itís a bit more grainier, thus making the camera sub-standard in comparison to other smart phones.

You cannot downgrade/factory reset the OS either as it would create serious complications for the phone. In short, if having a good camera on hand is an important feature to you, my advice would be to shop for a better smart phone.

totally disgusted

My daughter bought this phone in Simcoe back in July of 2013. Both sales reps had one and said they were excellent. They also put my daughter into one of the most expensive plans available. That phone has been nothing but trouble since day one. It shuts down whenever it wants, won`t hold a charge and drops calls. There is always something wrong with this phone and right now it is at the point that we are going to have to replace it.
