still going strong

I've had the phone for many years now and it's still going strong, without major problems, although the camera isn't sharp anymore.

Too sensitive keyboard

Reviewed on Saturday August 23, 2014 by , Ottawa
I cannot get used to the keyboard. Far to sensitive.
Apple products have a positive touch but not this.
I primarily use it for phone and text with occasional WiFi data.
It takes me 4X longer to text because of the gibberish I have to go back overhand correct. The predictive writing will not let go when I have words it doesn't know.
It has a good battery.
If you do not have a data plan, like me, it's too big, too heavy and too expensive.

Cell phone lasted 11 months

Reviewed on Tuesday July 15, 2014 by , Ottawa ON
This phone was great until the 10th month... the glitches began. My cell would shutdown randomly and not connect to wifi. After several weeks of the cell phone acting up, I sent it in to the Samsung Warranty centre. First time, they sent it back to me 8 days later nothing fixed. I called them back up and I sent it back to the centre for the second time. 12 days later I got it back, still NOT fixed. Frustrated, I threw it in the garbage and went back to the Bell and bought a Sony Xperia Z2. Hope I get better luck.

Galaxy Ace II x

This is a wonderful entry level SmartPhone.
( I have been using an ancient flip phone for 11 years... so I have a lot to learn about Android .)

It is easy to use, easy to text, easy to take pics, easy to SKYPE, and easy to connect to the internet , even without a data plan. (Lots of free WIFI's around here )

Its large enough( 4 inches) to easily see what you are doing when reading text, ( or playing Angry Birds LOL )...
yet small enough that it fits in a man's dress shirt pocket.

Its also easy to upgrade and customize with 100,000's of free apps from the Google play store and even more if you want to pay.

The battery lasts me almost 3 days... and longer if I remember to occasionally press an " App Killer" to shut off unneeded items.

It connects easily to both my Mac, and my PC, and pics, tunes, & short movie clips are easy to download.

The camera quality, voice quality, screen resolution, and general looks are terrific.

I can highly recommend this phone..... especially for first time Android phone users.

My only complaints ( so far ) are:
1) accessories: The phone is so new that there are no hard cases, gel cases, leather flip cases available on the internet anywhere......yet.

2) The original write-up indicated it had both Voice dial, & NFC (Near-Field-Comm) ... which it doesn't yet.

Perhaps these will come when it gets its upgrade to Jelly Bean from Ice Cream Sandwich.

A Great Starter Phone !!
