Late last week Bell announced that they would be bringing the Motorola DEXT to Canada. TELUS previously announced the Backflip which left the Motorola Quench to Rogers. We don't have a firm release date for any of the three MOTOBLUR enabled smartphones. We've got full details after the jump.

Bell has released a free Cowbell App to help you cheer on Team Canada. The free app features a Bell branded cowbell that will make noise if you shake your device, press a key or tap the screen. Instructions on how to get your free cowbell app can be found after the break.

With the launch of its new HSPA network, Bell added 163,000 new wireless customers over Q4 2009. Bell's wireless subscriber base has now grown to 6,833,000, an increase of 5.2% over last year. We've got more numbers after the break.

In November of 2009 it was announced that the Samsung Omnia II would be the official handset of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. With the device now in VANOC staff hands they are having problems with the Windows Mobile Device.

Today Bell announced plans for Bell Ice Cube, a public gathering place in the heart of Vancouver, where visitors can watch Olympic events on TV, listen to live music and meet some of the athletes.

Bell has launched Visual Voicemail for BlackBerry smartphones becoming the first provider in Canada to offer the service. The service allows Bell Mobility clients to visually manage voicemail on their BlackBerry, without calling into their voicemail boxes.
