If you have ever looked through Public Mobile's website rate plan calculator, Self-Serve or activation portals, you probably noticed the overly-complicated calculations involved with your plan's subtotal. Public Mobile recently got rid of the unnecessary feature and will simply be telling you your total plan price from now on. No plans or prices have actually changed, but it is a lot easier to understand what you'll be paying now.

Along with the simplified pricing, Public Mobile has also added a new section with six "ready-made" plans:
  • $20 for 30-days of Province-Wide Talk
  • $25 for 30-days of Province-Wide Talk and Global Text Messaging
  • $30 for 30-days of Province-Wide Talk and Global Text Messaging + 500 MB of data at 3G-speeds
  • $35 for 30-days of Province-Wide Talk and Global Text Messaging + 1 GB of data at 3G-speeds
  • $40 for 30-days of Province-Wide Talk and Global Text Messaging + 2 GB of data at 3G-speeds
  • $45 for 30-days of Province-Wide Talk and Global Text Messaging + 2 GB of data at 4G LTE-speeds
The current ready-made plans are not unique from the same 30-day plans you could create yourself using the rate plan calculator, but they do come with a $2 discount per billing period if you use AutoPay. Moving forward, the ready-made plan section will be used to highlight the best of PM's ongoing and limited time offers.
