During the keynote speech yesterday, the word "insane" came up more than a few times. Not sure if that is the word I would use to describe it, but the Razer Phone does has some very impressive specs that compete with and outperform the IPhone 8+ and Samsung Galaxy S8+. The company's slogan "Watch, listen, play" is reflected in their first flagship smartphone.
If you noticed that the Razer Phone looks like the Nextbit Robin it's because Razer acquired Nextbit earlier this year. They also acquired Android gaming software and console makers, Ouya Inc. A lot of collaboration went into this phone, with the Wide Colour Gamut display made by IGZO, the THX certified headphone quality, and Dolby Atmos dual front-facing speakers.
The phone comes in black with a chrome Razer emblem on the back, and there is also a special edition version with a green emblem. On November 17th the device will be available exclusively at Microsoft stores across Canada and the US. Preorders have already started at Razer's website and the phone costs $699 USD (around $900 CAD) unlocked.
