Free to Play Mobile Games Spend Big on Super Bowl Ads

Sunday's Super Bowl was watched by over 100 million people and featured free to play game makers spending big money on ads. With a 30 second spot costing upwards of $4.5 million we estimate that three free to play game developers spent just under $16 million. We've embedded each of their commercials below to view if you haven't already seen them.

Game of War Super Bowl commercial

Game of War kicked things off with a 30 second ad featuring Kate Upton.


 

Clash of Clans Super Bowl Commercial 

Clash of Clans brought in Liam Neeson for a 60 second ad to parody his Taken character vowing vengeance against his enemies while in line for coffee.


Heroes Charge Super Bowl Commercial

Heroes Charge finished things off with a short 15 second ad to show off their game. They are much smaller than Game of War and Clash of Clans thus probably benefited the most from their commercial.
