Rogers' Upcoming Manitoba Coverage
Rogers stated in its news release today "This major network expansion will both improve and considerably expand Rogers' wireless coverage in Manitoba. Rogers already offers service in Winnipeg and southern Manitoba and is expanding into Manitoba's northern communities while, at the same time, upgrading the existing Rogers' coverage footprint in Manitoba to high speed 3G+/HSPA+. The new network will significantly increase Rogers 3G+/HSPA+ coverage to service 96 per cent of Manitobans as it brings choice to many new markets including Thompson, The Pas, Flin Flon and more."

MTS' Upcoming Manitoba Coverage
MTS wireless has invested over $100 million in their new network, and will also be offering up exclusive MTS bundled services. Their new HSPA network will provide more extensive, reliable coverage in Manitoba, and "faster speeds than ever before and deliver next-generation broadband wireless services to 97 per cent of the population. Outside of Manitoba, MTS HSPA+ customers will be able to roam in more than 200 countries around the world." MTS will also continue to support its CDMA network, stating "MTS will also continue to sell and support an exciting lineup of its CDMA based handsets and operate its current CDMA wireless network in Manitoba to support existing MTS customers and carry other wireless roaming traffic. The combination of HSPA+ and CDMA uniquely positions MTS to have the widest array of wireless solutions for Manitobans."
