WIND Mobile to Release Nokia 5230

WIND Mobile has just announced the upcoming arrival of the Nokia 5230.

The pricing and official launch date are still “hush-hush”, but the phone is slated to be “coming to a WIND Mobile store near you in the next few weeks.”


Features of the Nokia 5230 include:

  • Handwrite messages directly on the 3.2” touchscreen
  • Virtual QWERTY keyboard with dual display – just rotate your Nokia from portrait to landscape to change the orientation
  • Multi-tasking music - listen while you're using other phone functions
  • No-charge Nokia Ovi Maps for worldwide voice-guided navigation
  • Tap into the Ovi App centre for 1,000s more Nokia-compatible apps
  • Expandable memory up to 16 GB
  • 2.0 megapixel camera with video record


The phone will be the first Nokia phone offered by WIND, joining the Huawei U7519 and Samsung Gravity 2. WIND also offers the BlackBerry Bold 9000 and HTC Maple S520 smartphones.
