Please  tell me the cost of an early termination fee with your service.

Hi Bill,

Thank you for contacting CompareCellular.com.  I'm sorry but we're just a web site listing Canadian cell phone information.    All Canadian carriers have different early termination fees.  Examples of which include:

Rogers
Greater of $100 or $20 per month remaining, to a maximum of $400.

Bell
Greater of $100 or $20 per month remaining, to a maximum of $400.

TELUS
Greater of $100 or $20 per month remaining in the term.

Fido
Greater of $100 or $10 per month remaining, to a maximum of $300.

Virgin Mobile
Greater of $100 or $20 per month remaining, to a maximum of $400.

Solo Mobile
Greater of $100 or $20 per month remaining, to a maximum of $300.

We recommend that you contact your cellular provider for full details.


Can I keep my current phone number if I switch to 7-Eleven Speakout Wireless from Bell Mobility?

Yes, you can switch to 7-Eleven's service and keep your Bell number.  Please contact their Customer Service line for assistance at  1-866-310-1023.


My 3 children have solo phones We are in Florida for 2 weeks Should they turn their phones off to avoid roaming charges Can they text for the same rate as at home in toronto Canada

Roaming

You will incur roaming charges if you:
  • Make or Receive Phone Calls
  • Use any Internet features on the Phones
You will not incur roaming charges by just having your phone on.


Text Messaging

Messages sent while roaming in the United States are billed at 60/message and messages received are billed at 15/message; these charges apply to both monthly plan clients and prepaid clients.
