Motorola ROKR E1 Named One of the Worst Gadgets of the Decade

Gizmodo recently named their 50 worst gadgets of the decade that included the Motorola ROKR E1 and the Samsung Omnia II. We've got a breakdown of each phone and comments from us below.

Motorola ROKR E1

The Motorola ROKR E1 was introduced in 2005 at the same time of the first Apple Nano. Unfortunately it failed to live up to expectations with numerous problems that included:

• 100 song limit
• torturously slow download times
• Inability to play both music and remain a functional phone

The Motorola ROKR E1, available in Canada through Rogers & Fido in October of 2005, featured:

• iTunes® interface
• Bluetooth® Technology
• 3D Surround Sound
• 0.3 megapixel camera
• Only non-Apple-branded portable device to support the FairPlay DRM

Samsung Omnia II

We were quite suprised to see that the recently released Samsung Omnia II (available in Canada through Bell) made Gizmodo's list. Gizmodo stated that the actual hardware was great but the Windows Mobile 6.5 OS made the phone unusable. The biggest complaint was the horrible lag when attempting to do anything with the phone.The Samsung Omnia II features:

• Wi-Fi
• Global access
• 5.0 megapixel camera
