Mark-up on Text Messages may be as much as 4900%

The Vancouver Sun has posted an interesting article detailing a Canadian computer scientists findings that text messages are marked up an estimate 4900%.  Srinivasan Keshav told US lawmakers that the maximum cost of a single text message "very unlikely" exceeds 0.3 cents.

Bell, TELUS and Rogers all charge pay-per-use users $0.15 for sent and received text messages.
