For four years running, Virgin Mobile Canada has received J.D. Power and Associates' annual award for Highest Customer Satisfaction for Prepaid Wireless.

In February 2008 Virgin Mobile Canada introduced post-paid plans alongside their well known prepaid plans.

Bell Mobility acquired Virgin Mobile Canada in May 2009 for $142 million.

On February 2, 2010, Virgin officially launched HSPA+ services for postpaid customers. Prepaid customers didn't gain access to HSPA+ products and services until the spring of 2011.

In March 2012, Virgin Mobile brought LTE network speeds to its customers in select markets across Canada.
