For the price, this tablet is great

To be truthful, the Slate 8 isn't the fastest of tablets. But it has something that I didn't find in other tablets at the low price. A magnetometer. This tablet as a compass. I wanted something besides my phones tiny screen to be able to use astronomy apps with. This was perfct. I tried the Tab E and the tab A and neither had a magnetometer. Run an astronomy app on Tab E/A and it just sits there. If you have mobile data with the Tab E/A then you will have a compass, sort of. Slow to update and you have to be inside the network for it to work. This slate 8 has it built in and does it for like half the price of the others.
Also since the compass is present, and if you have mobile data it is the best navigational tool ever. Big screen makes easy viewing.
I know a lot of users want a supercharged game machine when it comes to tablets. But for the price and the ability to use a compass/magnetometer the slate 8 is great.

It takes good still pictures outdoors on a sunny day but indoors not good at all. Wish I had my other tablet.

Just dreadful.

This is the single worst device I have ever used. I am particularly frustrated that Sprint considered this a viable replacement for my Galaxy Tab S2 that was stolen. This tablet is virtually featureless, slow, and can't do much of anything. Trying to run two incredibly lightweight apps at the same time locks it up. I've had to restart it four times in the past hour alone. This tablet is a joke.

Worst of the worst!!! Spend more time rebooting than using..Continual freezing issues..Called to complain was told by Sprint yup happens all the time nothing you can do but restart by holding in buttons..Oh how nice..It's honestly a piece of crap
