Roaming
Travelling in CanadaCore digital network service is now available in many cities across Ontario, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia. Digital PCS and analog service cover most areas of the country where the core digital network is not available.
While you're in Canada, you pay the same per-minute rate and keep the same bundled airtime and per-call features as your existing plan, allowing you to stay in touch affordably. Long distance charges are extra.
If you're a Prepaid client, you might need to register to use your phone while travelling within Canada. To register, call Client Care by dialling #SOLO free from your mobile phone, or 1.877.999.SOLO (7656) from any other phone.
Travelling in the USAThrough our numerous roaming agreements, you have access to a vast mobile coverage area in the U.S. When you place or receive a call in the U.S., you'll be billed by the minute based on the type of call and the type of network on which the call is made. These travelling rates are exclusive to the U.S., and your Canadian bundled minutes and rates will remain untouched until you return home to Canada.

Calls made and received in the US will be billed as follows:
When travelling in the United States, clients can call Client Care - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the following number: 1.877.999.SOLO (7656).Making and receiving calls in the U.S.When you're travelling in the U.S., making a phone call is as simple as dialling from home. Simply dial 1 + area code + the 7-digit number and press SEND to complete your call. You'll be billed the roaming airtime rate, plus applicable long distance charges.
You can automatically receive calls when you travel anywhere in the U.S. if you're in an area where wireless coverage is available. When you receive a call, you'll be billed the roaming airtime rate plus applicable long distance charges.
Prepaid clients
Note:
All charges you incur while roaming in North America will appear on your invoice in Canadian funds.
You'll incur applicable U.S. state and federal taxes on all calls. If a long distance call ends in your home province, you'll incur Canadian taxes as well.
International Roaming ServiceStay connected while you travel by using your phone or device internationally. Through agreements with 1XRTT/EVDO roaming partners, Solo Mobile gives you coverage in
25 countries including data in 9 countries.
Roaming data charges in Aruba, Barbados, Bermuda, :
When using your data device you will be charged a roaming rate of 5¢/KB ($51.20/MB) with 10 KB increments.
You
can send and receive text messages while roaming in Aruba, Bonaire,
Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, China, Israel, Mexico,
New Zealand and St. Maarten with your CDMA phone or smartphone.
When
you send a message while roaming internationally, you’ll be charged
$0.60 for each message sent. Sent messages are pay-per-use and are not
included in the Text Messaging bundles. Received text messages are
charged the same as if you were in Canada.
How to make calls:
To make a local call or a call within a country, the dialing method is the same.
To make international calls, you need to use the international dialing code used in that country. For calls to Canada from the US and most of the Caribbean, use the same method as you would for making a long distance call.
On CDMA networks, the international dialing codes are:
- US, Bermuda, Guam and Caribbean ~ 011
- South Korea, Thailand ~ 001
- Other CDMA countries ~ 00
- Taiwan ~ 005
