A big, fat lemon!

I got this phone for my son through Solo last August. It worked fine for the first 6 months, although it took a long time for it to power up, so he just never turned it off. Then the screen would start going black and the entire phone would freeze, so my son would take the battery out and have to restart it. Then that didn't work at all, so we took it in for repairs. The 1st time, they said it was a hardware problem and that they had upgraded everything. It worked ok for a while, then we had a repeat of the first incident. Took it back in for a second time, they "repaired" it and told us the same thing. Now, a week after we got it back from repairs, it's frozen again. It's a piece of junk. The Solo rep told us that they had been getting a lot of these in for repairs of the same problem. I called Samsung, and they told me that we have to bring the phone in for repairs for a 3rd time before they would consider replacing it. So for those of you who have this phone, and it's still within the one year warranty, know that this phone will screw you over if you don't try to get it replaced. For those of you that have passed the one year warranty period, you are stuck with a lemon. I will update as to whether Samsung will actually replace the phone once we get it back from it 3rd "repair".
