Good fashion phone

Samsung has been a newcomer with Rogers (only 3 models in 2 years), but it has made quite a reputation, with its reliable phones and nice-looking screens.

Pros : The screens are fantastic (no surprise coming from Samsung). The exterior one is crystal-clear (not like the one one the Motorola RAZR). The camera is one of the best on the market, the sensor is fast and responsive, and the results are really nice. The menus are easy to use and the phonebook features work really well. Lastly, the built quality seems rock-solid.

Cons : This phone is way overpriced for its features. The most notable is that this phone is only 2 bands (no world roaming capabilities). Also, there are no video modes nor is there a speakerphone. For 30$ less, you can have a V551 with twice the features of that phone! Also, the headset connector is not standard, you have to buy the original from Samsung.

For my part, I find that if you don't need world roaming, this phone is one of the best you can get. I'm looking forward to what Samsung has for us next.

This phone is great for the fact that it's the same weight and size as the x426 but with a camera and external lcd... camera is as decent if not better than phones in it's class and the sound is amazing on this thing... yes there's a problem that will show you that you have 2 bars of battery life left right off the bat of after a couple mins of usage but thats a software issue... it only shows that you have litle battery when in fact you have alot... it's a common software issue with samsung... dont go spend money on extended batteries it will show you the same thing...

I love this phone. It's lightweight and stylish. Easy to use menus, and clear sound. The camera is ok, buy hey, if you want a digital camera, go buy one, THIS IS A PHONE. Web downloads work great. The Rogers site works well for downloading rings and graphics. You won't go wrong with this phone. The only con I can find is some radio interference when using the web service.

It's a great phone, but...

the only problem I have with it is that the keypad is so flat and my fingers are big so I have to press everything with my fingernail, which gets kind of frustrating sometimes.

Otherwise, it's a great phone. Amazing reception, great features, beautiful colours. I love it!

i've used this phone for a day as well.. it's dropped one call already and it does do the battery thing that sharan describe in her review, it is really weird that the battery bar goes down to one bar after about 4 hours or so, but since it's been at 1 bar it's been go'in for 8 hours, so i hope this is an easy glitch that can be fixed.

Samsung E316

this phone is pretty darn cute, and because its a samsung VERY user friendly! it has some cool options like photo caller id on the front of the phone, a video recorder, and camera. the only thing that i dont like about this phone is that i cant find any ringtones (real song clips) that are compatible with my phone. so, for now i can only use the ones the phone comes with, or download the polyphoneic ones. all in all this is a really good phone.
