Nokia 7230

I bought this phone to use as a landline replacement. The positive aspects are several, the build quality is very good, the phone feels solid, the battery life is good, the keys feel good to the touch and the navigation is fairly straight forward.

Where this phone utterly fails is probably in the most important feature, being able to carry on a conversation. The call volume is so low and can't be adjusted. I find I have to search out a quiet area when making a call or else I'll be asking the person on the other end to repeat what they just said.

Totally frustrating.

One week in with this phone and it's stopped receiving texts randomly three times now. Have to take out battery and sim card (back of phone feels very fragile and cheap when trying to remove to get at battery) to get the phone to work again. Sound on calls is way too low even at highest volume. The phones interface is great though, and camera is pretty good. If not for the issue with texts, this would be a solid phone.
