Our company recently changed to this model, and there is NO ONE that likes it. My biggest complaint is the sound quality is horrible. Volume just isn't there, but distortion is.

I would NOT recommend the i305... we've had a 33% failure rate since upgrading 9 of our phones to this model. The defective phones are covered under warranty, but it's a hassle to mail them for repair, wait & then get them back STILL not functional. We're going to upgrade to a different model as they continue to fail. This model is a lemon!

Worst phone I ever owned

Reviewed on Friday April 8, 2005 by , Toronto
I bought 5 for my company and they have been nothing but trouble for the last 17 months. The speakers have failed. They drop calls in the most unlikely places where every other cell phone works. They turn off in the middle of conversations. We have to go through reboot procedures sometimes when they fail. All of them have been replaced at least once some twice as well as other repairs. Telus, the supplier, in spite of constantly repairing them continues to deny that there is anything wrong with them even after they have replaced or fixed them.

Great phone

I've used the i305 for the past five months. I work in the public safety field, as well as teach in the same field. I use the phone not only for family communications, but for emergency operations also.

I am greatly impressed by its' rugged design, and ease of use. It is not a unit for one that wants a fancy phone, but if a rugged, handy phone/ two-way radio is needed, this is the unit to get.

I have used it in heavy downpours of rain, have had it drop out of my vehicle, onto concrete, at 10 or 15 mph, and have run over it it with a tractor. The unit still functions fine w/o any damage to the exterior.
