not your best choice, trust me

Having never had a camera phone in my 11 years as a telus customer, i thought that I would try the Audiovox 8920 as my previous audiovox phones had been very good. I used its camera for item reference purposes and likely would have been fairly satisfied if not for checking out another 1.3 megapixel phone and being astounded by the better quality of the image. i tried to get as good an image on mine using every possible setting without success and the emailed images were terrible.... As well if your hearing is impaired to any degree and you require a fairly loud earpiece, this is not for you either as the volume is limited. i would give this phone one star.

Works good for me

Well I had to get a new phone because my last one didn't fair to well in the washing machine(LOL). So I picked up the 8920T with TelusMobility and so far find it to be great. It has great features such as voice dialing, camera, downloadable games, rings, and pics. I find the layout of the phone good and overall the only complaint would be the battery life only lasts about 3-4 days. Not sure if thats good or not but wish it was longer anyways. Dont think you will be dissapointed with this phone.

Great Phone with great features

Ok well i switched carriers last week from rogers to telus because i was have serious signal quality issues with rogers and now that im with telus its much better. Our family had been very long time cellular customers of telus so we went through their client loyalty services imperticular andrew and he offered us a great deal on a number of phones, but back to the 8920. The phone has a great look to it and looks to be fairly scratch resistant, this is my second camera phone and all though my last one (panasonic gd88) had a little better low light capabilities this phone far surpasses it in image quality. Using the camera often depeletes your battery very quickly obviously, but once the initial wow factor wears off im sure i will probably get 2 or 3 days off a charge but im a very heavy cellular user (upwards of 1400 minutes total talk time a month) The menu system has a very nice layout with easy to find features. One thing i did like is that you could send a single text message to a maximum of 10 people this allowed me to text my new cell number to all my contacts alot faster than entering them one at a time. The outer and inner displays are both shown in vivid colour and i must say the crspness of the outer display is the nicest i have seen. The keys on this phone are very easy to use and find and although flush mounted with in the base are very easy to find and press. The ergonomic design of the phone always places the sweet spot of the ear piece and mic very nicely. Overall i would rate this phone a 9 out of 10 and would definetly reccomend buying it.
